Sidmouth Science Festival is back this year 13-19 October 2014
The third Sidmouth Science Festival will take place from 13 to 19 October 2014 and the overall theme continues to be “Science in our lives”.
The format will be roughly the same as last year with events in the schools and colleges during the week, serious science talks and fun events on Saturday in town and a family day on Sunday at the Norman Lockyer Observatory.
Various Community groups will contribute events during the week too. Speakers have already been booked for Saturday with topics which include Renewable energy, Nuclear power,
or Innovation in the digital economy and Rheology. Smart Cities
The Family Day at the NLO will be based around past present and future. On Saturday as well as the usual hands-on activities there will be a venue dedicated to Earth Science Week.
