This is the report from FOTB for Weds 2nd:

Dear All

Last Wednesday started off with many heavy downpours, but luckily our 2nd bulb planting stint was pretty much free of rain. Thanks to all those that braved the weather to help plant the 1300 scilla siberica and 400 wood anemone.

A reminder that tomorrow we will be planting bluebells near the wall bordering Salcombe Road and Crocuses near the entrance close to the Hunters Moon gate.

And this is the report from Sat 5th:

Dear All

This Saturday just gone a group of volunteers turned up on a lovely sunny morning to plant bluebells and crocuses. We managed to plant 2400 Bluebells and 400 crocuses. Thanks to everyone that turned up.

A reminder that tomorrow Wednesday 9th October, we will be planting scillia siberica and alba near the entrance to Sid Meadow together with some Tenby daffs around the base of some trees.

We do need volunteers to spare a couple of hours with friends and family and come along to help make light work of the bulbs to be planted.

Luckily we also have many more Pear, Plum and Apple trees  sourced from Adams Apples, to be planted in the Community Orchard. They have been funded by tree and bench memorial sponsorships. So a group of volunteers will be concentrating on this during the coming volunteer days, starting from tomorrow. Mulching of fruit trees is also on the list of things to do.

Meeting point will again be at the Old Toll House entrance to the Byes on Salcombe Road. Or for those that know where they are going, please meet at the entrance to Sid Meadow on Sid Road

For more info please email FOTByes@gmail.com or phone Sally Atkinson on 01395 577383
See you there.
