Sid Meadow in July... and the Big Butterfly Count

A close up of a Small Tortoiseshell enjoying the meadow flowers in the Byes last Monday:



This is the 2nd year Friends of the Byes have planted the wildflower areas in Sid meadow area of The Byes.
This year we used seeds from http://www.nova-flore.com/
 a more wildlife friendly mix of seeds than last year.
The flowers are continuously changing as one type of flower goes to seed and another comes into flower.
